Important: Some ACAS programs require students to complete 5-6 day residencies (40-48 hours in a week) in the U.S. before applying to a program. Please review the description of the program you intend to apply to in order to confirm this. Since residencies are for a short period of time, you may be able to enter the U.S. using a visitor visa (M visa). In other cases, a student visa (F visa) may be required. You should inquire at the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate about visiting the U.S. before applying to an ACAS program. For more information on obtaining a U.S. Visa, see http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1268.html

In some cases, special arrangements for residency study in your native country may be arranged for students who are unable to enter the U.S. In these cases, ACAS faculty will work with the student to locate an appropriate location and individual in your community to work with. Please advise the admissions office if you encounter such a problem.
